Since opening our doors, SDA has been committed to providing high-quality dance education while helping students develop confidence, friendships, resilience and life skills that extend far beyond the studio. Whether a student dreams of performing on stage, completing dance examinations, competing, or simply dancing for fun, our experienced teachers encourage every dancer to achieve their personal best.
Our classes are designed for students of all ages and abilities, from toddlers taking their very first dance steps through to adults. We proudly offer a wide range of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Singing and Drama, as well as specialised classes for students with additional needs.

Meet Our Director
Studio Dance Australia is proudly owned and directed by Christa Tate, an experienced educator and passionate dance teacher who has been inspiring young people through dance and education for more than 17 years.
Alongside directing SDA, Christa is a Course Coordinator and Teacher at TAFE NSW, delivering Community Services and Counselling qualifications and supporting the development of future professionals within the human services sector.
Christa holds a:
Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology)Graduate Diploma of CounsellingCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
She has extensive professional experience in community services, counselling, domestic and family violence, child protection and education. This background shapes the caring, inclusive and student-centred culture that Studio Dance Australia is known for.
Christa has been recognised for her contributions to both the community and education, receiving awards including the Young Woman of the West Award, Young Chifley Woman of the Year, and the Pride of Australia Medal (Young Leader).
